Have you ever seen your dog or puppy react to the sight of another dog as if he had seen a monster?
The reason is simple.
"I saw a MONSTER!! |
They have!
Consider this - First, people are not interchangeable. Just because you have 10 brothers and sisters does not mean you are comfortable around my 9 children or a mall full of people.
If you have never seen a black person or this colorful gent on the left or the other person below, you might stare or do something super embarrassing upon encountering them.
Just as people are not substitutable dogs are not interchangeable either.
"gone with ya bad self" |
Second, a hat is not ‘just a hat’. There are caps, sombreros, Fireman’s hats,
Baptist church lady ‘gone wit ya bad self’ head coverings, and so on. All change the silhouette of the wearer’s head.
At some point the one under the hat becomes… (you guessed it)…
A MONSTER!
Conclusion: New dogs look and smell weird and new people (with or without) a hat look and smell weird (different) also. They are also unpredictable. So carefully introduce your dog or puppy to new animals and people. Remember, just because your mom is a woman and you like her does not mean you like all women. Allow your pet the same discretion.
The more ‘planned’ exposure your dog (with up-to-date shots) or pup (after all shot) has, the calmer your dog will be. Make introductions a fun and stress free activity.
