It’s a beautiful day at the dog park. The sun is not too warm and the dogs are playing and sniffing. There’s clumps of people chatting and that one person suddenly averts their eyes from their dog. That of course draws your attention to their dog who is pooping. Are they really going to say that they didn’t see it and that’s why they didn’t pick it up? What should you do?

I’ve never seen a dog so clumsy.
My Labrador, Dave, would always injure himself. At the park, when he would be playing he would literally run into trees. I was always asking myself, “Is this wound or behavior worthy of a trip to the Veterinarian?” Thankfully, we got through the wonder years (I wonder if I have to go to the Vet) and though the first two years were rocky, Dave lived to be 12 years old, happy and healthy. Here’s some ideas to help you take the wonder out of when to call your Veterinarian.

Dave, my Labrador, took all the guesswork out of choosing a Veterinarian. He was clumsy and was always injuring himself. If I took him to the park, he would literally run into a tree. He was the only dog I have known that had a diagnosis of a concussion. Of course most of his injuries were sustained after hours or on weekends. Here’s some ideas about how to select your Veterinarian.
